I Ought to be in Pictures

by Neil Simon, directed by Judy Spevack

February 10, 11, 12, 2006 (Fri.-Sun.) An over-the-hill screenwriter is more surprised than thrilled by the visit of a 19-year-old daughter he hasn’t seen since he left the family in Brooklyn 16 years ago. She is an aspiring actress who wants her father to help her to get into pictures. She figures he owes her for taking a hike in the first place. But most of all, she wants to know her father. Not your ordinary Simon laugh machine, this is a very human comedy. It is a mature, charming blend of humor, honesty and deeply felt emotion.
