Lost in Yonkers

by Neil Simon, directed by Robert Whiteman

March 26, 27, 28, 2010 (Fri.-Sun.)
Set in 1942 Yonkers, NY, this comedy-drama is the story of two teen-age brothers who are left in the care of their domineering grandmother and sweet, but simple-minded, Aunt Bella by their desperate father, a traveling salesman, after the death of their mother. Uncle Louie, a small-time hoodlum, is on the run from the mob and uses the house as a hideout. This highly dysfunctional family is both sad and funny. Premiering in 1991, it won that year's Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for Best Play.
