Sight Unseen

by Donald Margulies, directed by John Romeo

February 17, 18, 19 2012 (Fri.-Sun.)On a detour from a London retrospective of his work, a successful painter visits the lover he hasn’t seen for 15 years, where she lives in a Spartan farmhouse with her husband. This complex, subtly-constructed play by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies (Collected Stories, Dinner with Friends) ties together the story of a life-defining love affair with an artist's struggle to deal with his Jewish identity and the fact that fame has not made him immune to insecurity and a sense of having lost his way.
